The THCA flower has become a fan favorite in recent years. If you’ve tried it, you probably want to know how it’s made and what’s going on behind the scenes. As a vertically integrated, USDA certified organic farm, we are overseeing every step of the process from seed to sale. Stick with us to learn what’s going on straight from the farm. Cultivation: Growing THCA Flower
THCA flower begins its journey with cultivation. THCA flower is not grown; it’s nurtured. The best flower comes from USDA-certified organic methods, meaning no synthetic pesticides or fertilizers—just rich, nutrient-dense, living soil and lots of love and care.
The first step is to choose THCA strains that naturally produce a lot of THCA. We choose strains based on their genetics, terpene profiles, effects, and customer feedback. Our plants grow in controlled settings with nutrient-rich living soil. This gives them the best conditions possible and makes sure that the quality of each crop is the same.
There are several growth stages throughout the plant’s life cycle:
Seed Germination: This is where a plant begins its life cycle. Before it’s planted, plants are germinated, and seeds sprout into healthy seedlings.
Vegetative Growth: The plant develops leaves and stems to build a strong structure, ensuring it can support future buds.
Pre-Flowering: During this stage, the plants begin to form buds, preparing for the flowering phase.
Flowering Phase: The plant produces cannabinoid-rich buds, with trichomes actively creating THCA for maximum potency.
Harvesting
Harvesting is about precision, about that moment when a flower reaches peak potency that can make all the difference between a mediocre flower and an exceptional one. Monitoring plants daily, inspecting tissue, and waiting for that moment when the trichomes are at their fullest and richest in THCA. That’s when you harvest it.
Trichomes are where the magic happens. They produce and hold the cannabinoids that make your THCA flower so special. By harvesting at just the right time, we capture the full spectrum of compounds. This means more potency, better flavor, smell, and a better experience overall.
Drying and Curing (Dry Curing)
After you’ve harvested your flower, it’s time to move on to drying and curing. These are two crucial steps that can make or break the quality of the flower and can play a role if your THCA flower is legal after all.
We take our time with drying, hanging the freshly harvested hemp in a climate-controlled environment to slowly remove moisture. You don’t want to hang it in a hot place and decarb your THCA and make your flower illegal. Once dried, we move to curing.
Curing requires patience. We place the dried flower in airtight containers and store them in a cool, dark place. During this time cannabinoids and terpenes fully mature and flavors deepen. Curing can take several weeks, but it’s worth every moment. You want to make sure to stabilize the THCA so it doesn’t accidentally decarb and becomes illegal.
Trimming and Processing
With curing complete, it’s time to give those buds a little makeover. We hand trim everything, and for good reason—to preserve trichomes. Trichomes are full of cannabinoids and terpenes, so keeping them is a must for high-quality THCA flower.
Trimming certainly makes the bud look better, but it’s also about improving the experience. Removing excess leaves and plant material will help deliver smooth flavor, consistent potency, and a clean burn. Trimming needs to be done with high attention to detail to make sure to keep trichomes intact.
Testing for Purity and Potency
Each batch of our THCA flower goes through third-party lab testing. We test to make sure flower is legal first of all (under 0.3% D9 THC), to ensure our flower is potent, has a rich terpene profile, and is free of potential harsh chemicals or mold.
We don’t just keep those results to ourselves; we share them with you. Transparency is key in the hemp industry, and you deserve to know what’s in your product. Avoid unpleasant surprises when someone sells you an illicit flower that “decarbed in transit.”
One more piece of advice from us is to always get your flower from USDA certified organic hemp companies (farms), because flower can be sterilized for testing, but the hemp plant is a heavy accumulator plant and will accumulate everything in the soil around it, including harsh chemicals and pesticides. Companies have the ability to sterilize a flower, preventing it from appearing in a test, but rest assured, it remains present.
Packaging: Preserving Freshness and Potency
Packaging is a very important step. We use airtight, UV-protected containers to help protect your buds from decarbing and losing potency over time. Every trichome matters—every scent, every bit of flavor. Every product that reaches your hands is a story of our farm—the months of nurturing, careful trimming, and patient curing. We can’t allow all that to be lost because of poor packaging.
From our farm to your hands, from seed to sale, our flower is our promise to you. A promise of quality, care, and authenticity. An organic promise, and we’ve got the glowing reviews to back it up.
